Here you are!
240km/h = 150mph with a brand new 320 diesel sedan. Length of track: 350km.
Last week I've been to Germany for 2 days with a friend. We drove his new 320d with
6-gear-transmission. The best of all: we did 350km in 1h and 50min.
So check out my videoz. *harrharr* (thats from ToolTime... i looove it )
Have a nice day (or night)....
yambaaa
1st video: overtaking an Audi 2.7TDI Avant @ 150mph
2nd video: just look at those trucks we overtook.... like a lightning...harrharr
and sorry for that poor quality - I forgot my cam... and so i had to film with my mobile phone again. [time to buy a better mobile-phone ]

wow, very cool !? but it's ok to drive that fast in a small two lanes road in your country ?

In Germany you are allowed to drive as fast as you want on the "Autobahn" (freeway) and on every road with two or more lanes (highway) if there is no speed limit. On countryroads with only one lane per direction there is a speed limit of 100km/h, and in the cities it's 50km/h. About 70% of the Autobahn have only two lanes - with one emergency/breakdown lane on the right side. And about 60% of the Autobahn has no speed limit. The rest has normally a limit of 130km/h. But there are some routes where you can't drive as fast as you want because of the big treffic. For example between Munich and Stuttgart you have a speed limit of 120km/h from 6am to 8pm. So if you're driving there at 8:30pm you can't drive faster as 140km/h because there are lots of cars there - even if you are allowed to.
In our case we drove on a track that has no speed limit - and there were only a few other cars and trucks.
ON THIS Autobahn (A92) between Munich and Deggendorf there is also one of BMW-proving-ground near the main big BMW-plant (40km from Munich) - very interesting website!!! If there are some flashing margin piles on the right side you have to drive carefully, because there are highspeed tests from BMW. Once I drove there with about 220km/h - with cruise control - because there was really no one on that road.... and then it came. Something really, really fast from behind me... I saw it in the mirror - thd then I only saw it from behind a few seconds later. A BMW Z8. I guess it did more than 160mph. Wow ! And thats the only one Autobahn I know where you can drive like that for more than an hour... on the other ones there is absolutely to much traffic.
In this country everyone knows that there can be really fast cars on the road - and so they are familiar with that... how you have to react if you see something really fast in the mirror, etc... AND: everyone learns driving fast AND safe at the driving schools. So the are really few problems.
