Just spotted this in Auto Express.

Looks like the flames are out at last!!!

Sorry had problems with the pic.

Does anyone see this side view looking more and more like the Infinti M?

Come on BMW let's not get soft now. We are cutting edge now, let's keep it that way and not dumb down to the rest of the world. This looks like it blends in with the rest of the world and does not stand out like current models. I do not like this direction
Couldn?t have said it better, this looks like BMW's playing it safe ...Id say this is a very gs430ish type of thing to do. I love the fact that a 5 and 7 series is unlike anything on the road. Lastly as pretentious as it may sound, I?m not paying another 70k to blend in with the crowd, if I wanted that, Id have stayed in my 05 RL or have purchased a new maxima "oops" I mean gs430.

I agree.

Remember "New Coke"? Market surveys said people wanted softer, sweeter taste; but that's not why people bought Coke in the first place, so the New Coke totally bombed. It's wrong to assume that making BMW look like the single "most popular" or average car will sell the most cars. People buy them because they're different. If it looks like a Lexus, people will buy the Lexus because of reliability.

but read the below print the pix...that side view car is the new 3series coupe, the front looks like a rover and the rear like an old maxima so this makes perfect sense....

I like the front, but I still wish they would make the kidney grill wider and the headlights smaller.
Now the back, well...you can kiss the ass goodbye.
