I always like to plan ahead....my E60 (which is great) is now 1 year old....My dealer , being sneaky that way, lent me a 535d...it was amazing.......so with a budget of 45K, what do I get next......535d (more of the same) used 645 cab.....pure indulgence or slap down my deposit for an E90 M3 cab??? (not due til spring 2007)

currently my thoughts are M3cab.........!

my only concern about the M3cab is that they are still relatively pricey given that they are based on a model out of production.

if it were me i'd stick with a new E60 for a couple of yrs but get your name down now for the new M3 E90 cab so you get one of the first ones in the UK in a few yrs.

a few dealers round here are offering decent discounts on 535d Sports (new) so haggle hard.

Being a Scot in exile in the south, I have to question the value of having a cab up there with your 6 days quota of sunshine per year . Go for a used 645Ci coupe which is great to drive and has an engine/exhaust noise that is incredible then go for a new M3 but forget the cab which is slower and for footballer's wifes only

I am having a similar dilemma - The 535d is a great car but its not so much different from my 530d to make it an interesting change. But if I decide to get anonther E60 then this would be the one to go for.

I am very interested in seeing more details on the E90 M3, probably the Coupe but may consider the 4door form so long as it looks *right* . I have not yet considered the cab but that also could be an option.

I will be in my dealers on Monday (for heated seat recall) so I will talk through the options with them then. Either way - I am likely to be putting my name down for an E90 M3 Slot. I could always change my mind later when the 540d comes out.

I chose the 645 as it is AWSOME to drive....... used to have 2 different 8 series and would say that the new 6 is better than both 840 and 850

Hi Doc, so here are 2 diff things:

E90 another style and comfort...

E60 535d more torque and power but still cannot see why you shall change your, are not you satisfied with yours?
I would go for the cab 6 series... but than it is used....

what you want is important

These are excellent cars.... My 5 is a cool car to drive around San Diego...The 6 is just way off my price but I am considering the new 3s in red...

The biggest difference for me is size. The 3 series is just too small. The e60 is a great mixture of size and performance. IMO
