Hi. I'm new. I've been loving the E60 since the spy shots were showing up on Roadfly. When I first saw pics of the M5, man, that has been my dream car. I've since left Roadfly for E90post.com, and now, I'm here.

I thought I was going to be dead set on an E90, E92, or E93. Looks like I may just go with an E60. I drove a few of them today at the Susan G. Komen Drive for the Cure. I thought the E90 would be the thing for me, but the 530i and 550i just won me over.

So, anyway, unless the 335i or M3 can win me back over to the E9x, well, I may just join you all with an E60.

Welcome... and if the 335 wins you, try the 535 when it hits the streets

Thumbs up

There is some speculation that the new Engine will hit the 5er this September (in 2~3 months from now).
I wonder if that is true as I'm planning to take ED in about 2 months

Will it be the same engine as in the 335? The 3.0 liter engine with 306 hp?

Thx in advance

The 535 seems like a nice idea but the price difference on equivalently-equipped 530i and 550i is about $7K.

Assuming a mid-point price for the 535i, it seems that the 550i is a much better performance deal for an extra $3,500.

Am I missing something? Why would anyone buy a 535?

My take. Unless they dropped the 525, why would anyone buy a 530? Who wants to get smoked by a Toyota Camry off the line?? I know the Camry is slower but not by much.

I'd like to see only two models, a 535 and 555. The 535 turboed/DI'd and the 555 with at least DI.

Just my two cents
