New to BMW, E61 near Seattle
Hello all,
New to BMW in the Seattle area, I recently picked up a Natural Brown on Saphire Black E61 535xi with 80k miles. This is my first BMW, and I got it as a daily driver to replace my Mazdaspeed Miata I drove daily, since my wife and I are expecting our first son any day.
So far I really like this car. I have had VWs and Subarus mostly, so this is a big step up in comfort and technology. It is my first Auto transmission car, which I don't really like, but for a family car and daily driver it is okay. I looked for it for a few months, gave up on trying to find a manual transmission with the options I wanted, and got a great deal on this car. It has the sport package, comfort seats, and Logic 7 audio which were the three options I really wanted on the car. I am also a huge fan of the brown interior and it is a cool contrast with the black exterior.
I have had the car for around a month, and so far I have done a walnut blasting on the intake ports, added some LED angel eyes, and completed the SAT flash on the transmission.
Future plans for the car in the next little while are a tune of some kind with an intake, but haven't decided what path yet. Other than that I will likely upgrade some other things when they fail, such as brakes and suspension, and when my RFT tires wear out I will put some nice wheels and tires on it and use the OEM for winters. It is a family car and for sure not a sports car, so not planning on getting too crazy with it.
Looking forward to learning more about this car and hopefully contributing to this forum with my experiences with it.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Waxed the car and conditioned the leather. Purchased BMS intakes and wheel spacers. Really enjoying the car so far.
