Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum but have yet to pick up an e60 of my own. I've always been a huge fan of the car and am in the process of buying a new/used car.
My price range is $25,000-$30,000 which is just about what the 2004-2005 530i is going for. I'm looking for power and well one thing that drew me away from the e60 was the horsepower.
I drive a 99 Toyota Solara ( http://www.cardomain.com/ride/505303 ) which has about 195hp and 205torque so i was hoping to make a significant increase(at least 50 HP) in power.
From what i have have heard the e60 has the potential to be a beast, which brings me to my first question...What engine mods are available for the 530i? How pricey are they? How big are the gains?
Regardless of the Power, the 530i has many other things that i love. The style, the luxury, the comfort, the practicality and the size(i am 6'6", i need leg room.)
Well thanks for your time and hope to catch you all on the forums.

thanks for the reply!! I've actually been looking at a few 545i's and possibly an 06 530i with the stronger engine. I thought if I'd spend a little more on the initial price on the car then I'll end up saving money on mods later.
By the way your car looks really clean.

for the 530, any 2006 models catch your eye? especially since youre looking for power with a 530, the 2006 has the N52 engine instead of the M54. regardless, welcome and enjoy the forums.
