That's not a Meet.
The exit off of I-78 where the road begins is about 2 hours drive from NYC -- 120 miles. Once off I-78, Route 125 starts about 10 miles later and goes for 32 miles. Rickie and I met up in NJ at 930 and left about 10 am. I was back in NYC by about 6:30 pm. We stopped for lunch at Skeeter's BBQ, an amazing BBQ place that sits on a hill overlooking the Susquehenna River. This will be the lunch place-turnaround point for the meet. We were at Skeeter's by about 1 pm.

I don't expect 60 cars to come. That's fine with me. This will be a real serious driver's meet. I wouldn't want 60 cars on those mountain hairpins as they are very dangerous and challenging. It is really easy, if not very careful, to lose control. This road tests drivers like no other I have ever experienced within an easy driving distance from NYC. And it is so isolated that traffic was ultra light and there was not one police car.

Do you know who was on the road? Sport bike riders with Go Pro cameras on their helmets.

If the pics are my word are not enough as to how good SR 125 is, here are the reviews of the road on the net: http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/pa125.html and http://www.motorcycleroads.com/routes/Nort...t/PA/PA_7.shtml

Let the good times roll!

Well, there are fantastic canyon roads just a stone's throw from LA.

i am jealous.

there are great roads in FL, but just for scenery. beaches, palm trees, highways that go for miles elevated over the water... but NOTHING challenging. it is all flat. none of those cool little towns in the hills.

Well, maybe you could combine your visit to your mom in NY with this meet. Everyone wins that way.

Yes Florida roads are boring. But, on the bright side, you can roll on 20s without fear.

very true.

I will definately have to plan something, with school starting up it wont be until the holidays, and i have no desire to drive my car with summer tires and 20s around the hills of long island. i may have to take 2 weeks off next spring and drive up.

In the winter, I would not want to be driving in these parts (or doing a highway trip up here) in a 535 with summer performance tires.

Also, if you are up here and we are not doing a formal meet, Victor and I would be happy to do the drive with you and your car. It makes for a totally exhilerating day.
