OOh 2 whole championships, wow, that's WAAAAAAY better than Jeter's 4, or Mariano's 4, or Posada's 4, or Petitte's 4 need I go on? Red Sux fans, such an inferiority complex it's sad. Not to worry just 18 more and we're tied.
Ancient History. Good Luck , though.

Facts are facts - the Yankees do have their titles from the past. HOwever, as already pointed out, they also hold another great record - the biggest choke in professional sports, period. I don't think your team is the same since that game in 2004, especially in the playoffs. And also, until somebody figures out how to make A-Fraud hit Mr. Cheeseburger pitch in October, your chances of getting out of the first round are slim.
Good luck against the Tigers and see you in October again.

Edit: You know what Papi is holding in my avatar, right? And you know what he means with his right hand's fingers?

That extra weight allows him to really drive the ball down a batters throat.

A day in the life of CC:

Ma?tre-D': Uh, today we 'ave for appetizers ? excuse me. Uh, moules marini?res, p?t? de foie gras, Beluga caviar, eggs Benedictine, tart de poireau ? that's leek tart ? frogs' legs amandine, or oeufs de caille Richard Shepherd ? c'est-?-dire, little quails' eggs on a bed of pur?ed mushroom; it's very delicate, very subtle.
Mr Sabathia: I'll have the lot.
Ma?tre-D': [Pause] A wise choice, monsieur! And now, 'ow would you like it served? All, uh, mixed up togezher in a bucket?
Mr Sabathia: Yeah... with the eggs on top

History, but more recent and way better than what you can show.
History is history, you can't say only your history counts. Oh that's right, you have to because the last time you celebrated was 86 years before 2004

I will say this...the Yanks pitching hasn't been this good since the late 90's, so if there was ever a year to really have a shot, this would be it. I'm feeling pretty good this year and I think most teams that do make the playoffs are worried. Our more recent playoff appearances haven't been stellar and I wasn't very confident during those times. However, this season, it's a lot different. If our pitching and hitting is on, nobody will beat us.
