Windows More Secure Than Mac OS X

In a proper environment users should never have ANY issues either w/ VPN, Blue screen of death, etc.. I run a very tight ship at the places I consult and don't have any issues at all.
I haven't had ANY BSODs in vista or Win7, VPN is just fine to work & mobile device.
I personally just find Macs very difficult to manage in a large infrastructure. I can with a few mouse clicks totally control file permissions, patches, antivirus, backup, etc.. for hundreds of PCs scaled to an infinite number. Can you do this with Mac OS X?
Macs are geared towards the simple minded, the creatively inclined, ones who do not need advanced functions from a computer, and on occasion... those that want to conform by non-conforming. But, for the sake of argument, it's geared more towards creativity. I use a mac for Serato Scratch. I'd never used windows for that.
For my use as an IT administrator PCs > OS X. OS X simply wasn't build for the work environment in terms of control & granularity.

You can do all this with a Mac. Maybe you just need to learn some new tricks.

Sure, take a look at the Workgroup Manager in Mac OS X Server and Apple Remote Desktop.

it's possible but i've never seen it done well or at least in a stable, robust, & scalable way. it just hurts my soul that we bought 6 Mac Pros for $17,000. big chunk of change!

Now that I don't know, but I do see a lot of posts from Mac administrators on the Mac forums that seem to suggest it is indeed possible. I'll try and do a little research on this for you, maybe others here can chime in too.

it may seems viable to consider thin client solution.
its a host PC controlling a string of up to 8 other users/terminals/PCs
http://www.hp.com/sbso/solutions/pc_expert...s_consider.html
that way, u only need to take care 1 PC system on all yr applications/software.

+1. Often times it's an issue with your IT staff not properly configuring your laptop. You can't fault the OS for that, you have to look at the team who is responsible for maintaining the equipment.

For my use as an IT administrator PCs > OS X. OS X simply wasn't build for the work environment in terms of control & granularity.

Look for yourself by going into iTunes and go in iTunes Store, log ing and search for "apple". You'll see the podcast with the Apple Server podcast.
See below the quick-tips and also learn for the possibility to integrate a Mac Server with other Windows Servers and Open Directory with Active Directory. You just need to be opened minded enough to succeed.
