A little surprising but then you look at the numbers.

weight: 4470 lb.
Pounds per Horsepower: 4.5
hp: 1001
Hennessey Viper
weight: 3458 lb.
Pounds per Horsepower: 3.1
hp: 1100
Viper is 1012 less lbs., thats huge and it has an extra 100 hp.
The Veyron did beat the Viper to the mile, by a tenth.
Also the Veyron is stated to have a top speed of 253mph, wonder if the Viper can top that.
Ruf porsche got a lot of praise.
Says Millen: "It's just effortless, this car. There's no turbo lag. It has a nice broad powerband. It's just really nice. It doesn't even feel that you're really going that fast."
The Ruf Porsche was the only one not taken home on a trailer, the owner simply hopped right in and drove her home.
