Yes, it's unfortunate that you have to pay crazy tax over there, however... you cannot compare "if I were in the States" numbers, as you are not.

My logic is; take someone in a 545i IN HONG KONG, would they look at you as a lesser car? I would have to say that the MAJORITY would say "YES". I know how Asians are about monetary things, as I am one and been around them ALL of my life.

And lets just state the facts here: Your car has LESS power, your car costs LESS than a 545i (IN HONG KONG ACCORDING TO YOUR LOGIC), AND your car has LESS prestige (yes in Hong Kong). So is it wrong for the people in HONG KONG to think you have the LESSER car?

And stop with the "if I were in the states logic." You're not in the states, so live w/ that fact and stop using that as your "logic". Thanks.

What kind of logic do you have, you are completely lost on what I was trying to tell you.

The logic is, I am paying more for my 523i here than your 545i in the States in monetary terms, that's why I say my car is worth more than yours, I am using numbers okay.

I could get a 545i in Hong Kong, but is not a suitable car here where there's no long stright Highways and lots of stop and go traffic. The gas price is around 1.80USD/L and you need to pay more for registration and license renewal. The 523i will do the job just fine and that's why I brought it because I like the E60.

For the price of a 545i here I can get a M5 in the States simply because we paid more tax. If I were living in the States I could easily afford a 550i so can I say you have a lesser car compare with mine, absolutely not but according to you it is.

The point is that we all like the E60 that's why we are driving one regardless of engine size. So simple

I agree w/ you. I said I don't usually think that way.

Nope a E60 is a E60... same goes for my MINI... a MINI Cooper is a MINI Cooper doesnt matter if its the S or not.

I'm very happy to see another E60 on the road... you get the feeling of HEY we got somthing in common engine is a minor detail.

now the M is just in a different legue... when I see those I just go you F-in lucky bastard!

But I do see and know there are people who think in a lesser way... and think that anything below what they bought is below them and not as good as them but thats not the case... There are TONS of people who buy a 525 and can afford a Ferrari F60 but chose not to. I got the 545 cuz it was $5.5K more than the same spec 530 and for $5K, although pushing it i think i can afford it.

So dont think others with the same car as you as enimies engine or no engine... save that hate for those shitty Civics.

Now whos going yell at me for making a civic comment?
