In fact, many times I wish I did have a 525 especially with gas prices being what they are in the U.S.
And, honestly, for daily commuting, the 525 is plenty quick and fast enough. Heck, nothing a V8 engine can do for me when I'm stuck in gridlock behind a big, fat Mack truck ..

My Ride: E90 M3
Model Year: 2011
Abosutely not! Different people have different wants and needs. For us folks who have nothing better to spend our money on, we pay up and get the big engine. We want/need the power/speed. Someone who appreciates the design but doesn't want/need the power does not mean it is any less of a car. When the career has allowed or the kids are grown, splurge on the big engine...

Glad you guys say that.
Actually in Hong Kong, 545i is a luxury you don't see many of them. Most E60 in HK is 520 and 525 before the 523 came out this year. Bigger engine in HK means paying more each year for renewal of of license registration. Also with gas price around 1.80 US/L for premium gas, no long stretch of highways to flex your muscle and used car market (a used 540i E39 will cost the same for a used 523i) is really not worth it to get a 545i and people who have it usually have a more expensive house to go with it.
