Yes It is good to be young, but if I may ask, What age will she go to with the say I-6 530 model taht has the Bimmer 100,000 CPO? Will these beauties get it at say 150,000 miles with no work other than service?
I too am 40 now too for my 530 xi 06 model. Thanks
...
PS:
I would post pics, but have no patients for wrestling with the computer. I did try all the downloads everyone suggested on this forum. I did try to minimize sizes of pics that I have plenty of. I even wrote the web master.

When she is too old, you will just change her for younger

It was a bit of a sad moment yesterday. I witnessed her turning '40'.

Although purchased as a CPO about a year ago, and only put ~7K miles, still a sad time as I've come to truly appreciate the refined nature of these great cars!

I'm sure there are many more great miles ahead and looking forward to every one of them!

Congrats

You all are too harsh...

My e39 was sold, yes sold, with 247,xxx miles on her, and she looked great!

She pulled back into my driveway this weekend, (I know the guy she went to), and she still looked great.

My e60 came to me with 4 miles, (I drove four before snapping a pic, so I only have "8"), and 7 months later, has 16,xxx.

They're built to be driven and driven hard, with the proper TLC of course.
I hear ya, I have an e39 with 237K mi on it in my driveway for sale right now. I have had a couple people come by and I think they both are interested in it. One wants her husband to look at it, one is trying to sell an older 3series to make room for this one. They have all commented on how good of shape this car is for that high of miles.

My e60 came with mid 80K's 2 months ago, I have her up to 95K already, and I have been loving every minute of it. I just hope she lasts to the ripe old age that my e39 did. I concur with the comments above, drive hard (although hard might be a bit of an exaguration for me) but at least drive it sporty, and treat it with TLC.

it just turned 40 but with still a whole lot of horses in it!
I met a guy whose ride just turned 19--years. With 477,000 miles on it. Never touched the engine. Orig MSRP was $5995. 1990 Geo Metro. 3 cylinder engine. Those were supposed to be disposable. Does not compare to a BMW, but his $5995 is what some BMW owners have paid for an oil change. LOL.
