Sorry to hear about your lost, this is a nice story especially when someone gives a helping hand in times of difficulties. Not too many of those around now, and they say people driving Bimmer is arrogant.

Hey Black! My condoliences... :'( I'm sorry to hear about your mother. All the best to you and your family.

Guess the lady was like humm if he can drive a BMW he cant be all that bad... Especially when you know... you do look as dishonest as you do... I'll be scared and run the other way. Glad everything worked out for ya.

Oh just for future reference for everyone else... if you look in the trunk of any BMW... (* I beleive thats the case* ) theres a sticker on the top of the tool box to BMW Assist. So you can get BMW Assists number off of any BMW.

So sorry about your mom I always keep the plastic key in my wallet in case of a similar event. Not a bad idea for you to do so from now on, as well.

Jeff

PS: I probably would have driven you myself but would have asked you for the $15 or so worth of gas it would have taken for my 550 to go the few miles (I am so going to be the first in line when the 535D comes here)

P.S. I would have came out and got you for free! well depends how many "few miles" it is... if you're in NV or somthing I'll be glad to call BMW Assist for ya. But if you're by home or my home... offers always open. But then you'll need to memorize my phone number.

My sympathies to you and your family on your loss. Glad to see things worked out for you in the end although I find it humorous that the BMW assist didn't work in the 3-series either. Maybe they need a CIP upgrade like the rest of us!
I have a habit now of testing the Assist every time before I go out on a long drive to see if the TCU has failed yet again.
