Perfect, that is exactly what I want...a free country. Gov't has no business in these programs save the Military, CIA and FBI because they are in defense of our country.

Do you know that we went to war with the British to earn our freedom over a 3-5% tax increase?
I agree... I want the government out of as much shit as possible ie: gay marriage, steroids in professional sports, etc etc. Some programs are best left to the government such as military, intelligence, and maybe some healthcare programs. I work in healthcare... maybe you are not aware... but if you do not have insurance... you are guaranteed to pay 2-5x's the rate that Medicare and other insurers have negotiated for the same exact procedure etc. This needs government regulation in some form. As far as going to war for 3-5% tax increase... I may fight... but it is relative... depends on what the current tax rate/system is.

Obama's proposed tax cuts in the "stimulusLESS" package are to people who DO NOT pay taxes. What does this mean you ask? How is it possible to cut the taxes of people who don't pay taxes. It isn't. It means you and I are paying for these people to get a Gov't Paycheck(read Welfare Check) in addition to not having to any taxes.

Read and Learn about who pays taxes. All statistics are courtesy of the IRS and CBO.

You guys would have been much better advised to vent your frustration on the $3 trillion that Number 43 poured down the crapper on Iraq.

Even at $860bn, this stimulus package is pissing in the wind compared to the tax dollars that the former administration wasted.

And both numbers pale into insignificance when you think the about the human cost of these actions.

i wont lie after going through that three times i kinda shat myself.

I know between state and federal taxes my father pays 55%. He went from $450,000 a year to $70,000 because the taxes were too high and it wasnt worth the stress. He actually went grey in five months.

How about you focus on what we are talking about instead of trying to move the conversation to the past

That $3 trillion is your past, present and future. You'll be paying for it in all three.

So it's absolutely relevant to the debate.

More to the point, it's intellectually bankrupt for you to criticize the actions of the incumbent if you choose to ignore the inextricable link to the actions of the predecessor.

No frustration. I'm a fiscal conservative (Bush wasn't) and the numbers that Washington (both previous admins and current) are throwing around are mind-boggling!!!! Christ, I remember in the early '80's when Kirby Puckett re-signed with the Twins for an unheard of amount of 1 million per year and people couldn't believe it and now we throw around numbers like billion and trillion and we are just supposed to sit around and say nothing! That is alot of cash!!!!

Yep, fair points. The numbers truly are mind boggling. As the old saying goes - few billion here, a few billion there and pretty soon you're talking about real money!
