Well this one I used the RAW image. When I take pictures with my DSLR, there is a copy that is in RAW.

I double-clicked on the RAW image and it goes straight to Adobe with the Adjustment brush. I then used the adjustment brush and played around with the sky, some of the car.

Link to the tutorial of the adjustment brush
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ5Mg1DoZVU

Then I used Adobe Lightroom 2. Open that up import the picture in and adjust the brightness, contrast, vibrance, clarity, saturation and ended up with that. Export it to jpeg and voila.

That's all I did with that pic.

Before:

After:

Use Adobe lightroom 2 FIRST to adjust and export the file to PSD or TIFF or PNG. the open the image(s) in photoshop and edit away. After editing, export to png or jpg for posting.

also, more attention can be given to the masking around the car. the "white glow" around the car suggests little attention to detail.

just my $.02

I originally thought that people could share tips about techniques etc here. If someone edits a picture (whatever picture), he/she could share his/her techniques along the modified pic.

Just now I'm trying to find ways to get that "dramatic" atmoshpere that DKNewYourk has. He mentioned the adjustment brush, but is there a such tool in PS CS2?

Have I been really that unclear about all this? Really?
My picture was just an opening.

Just one, maybe a stupid question: Is there an adjustment brush tool in CS2?
I think the "adjustment brush" is applying brush to the mask of the adjustment layer (levels, curves, hue/saturation, black/white, etc...).

search for tutorial on how to apply ajustment layers and apply layer masks (and transparencies).

btw.. as of now i'm working on a ~800MB file with about 40 different layers/layer masks and a lot of ajustment layers.

Ok thanks!
I'm a real beginner with the photoshop and all that sounds a bit scary, but I think I just have to grab the bull by the horns.

Thanks for the tip about masking around the car. I am also a beginner at photoshop. I've been wanting to get rid of the halo effect around the car.

No idea. I just open the RAW file and it pops up. I really need to watch more tutorials.
