Hi.
I didn't use a search, maybe the forum already have this kind of thread, but anyways...
Since the forum members seem to love photos (at least I do!) and especially those artistic ones, how about sharing the knowlegde about photo editing here...?
What you do does not have to be a masterpiece, just something you have done. And if possible, with explanation what was done. HDR, curves, color handling, anything! This could be also a place to ask things, and maybe the pros on the forum could help sometimes us, who really don't know much of things (like me).
Sure. The internet is full of tutorials, but we mostly concentrate on car pics here, so most attempts/tips/questions will probably concern car pictures. But all attempts/tips/questions are allowed of course !
And this thread especially is useless without pics, so here's one of my attempts.
Before:
After:
Edited in Photoshop:
1) Image -> Adjustments -> Shadow/Highlights -> some playing with values
2) Copy layer -> Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian blur -> some playing with values -> Layer opacity about 30%
3) Flatten image
4) Filter -> Noise -> Reduce Noise -> again some playing with values
Any ideas/comments about the pic or the idea of this kind of thread?

I like the idea. I had been thinking about posting a photo I was working with and see if anyone could help with photoshopping it. I've fiddled with the program a little and learned some things through trial and error, but haven't had the patience to really work through any tutorials....much better if someone can just tell me what I need to know!

Here is a crapy iphone picture that i took at the airport of my parking spot i always seem to forget where i park my car... "Hey where's my car"!
i was bored in the hotel on my business trip so i photoshopped it. Notice reflection on bumper and debit on floor and color enhancement
not bad for a crapy source

My thoughts exactly. DK's pics are among the best on these forums.
I double-clicked on the RAW image and it goes straight to Adobe with the Adjustment brush. I then used the adjustment brush and played around with the sky, some of the car.
Link to the tutorial of the adjustment brush
Then I used Adobe Lightroom 2. Open that up import the picture in and adjust the brightness, contrast, vibrance, clarity, saturation and ended up with that. Export it to jpeg and voila.
That's all I did with that pic.
