Observation while driving

They don't use their own employees (if Flight of the Conchords is anything to go by).

If you'd been hungry for Pizza and saw that Papa John's sign, would you not have followed it? There ya go.

Just like I have never seen a guy holding a "going out of business sign 70% off" and had any desire to go into the store. When I leave the house, I have a destination and don't deviate, of course unless I am out for a cruise, at which point I don't stop.

No. I am never driving a long and see a sign and think "Oh, i am gonna do that right now". (Besides I would eat dog poop before papa johns)

I grew up in NY, guess that is why I hate poppa johns. That is like being from Maine and going to dinner at red lobster.
Craig, you're a guy... and a military guy, so I understand the "leave the house and don't deviate" plan, because that is usually how I operate as well. However... during the week, I work out of my car and may cover 100-200 square miles a day depending on the day, and this often takes me into areas around lunch time that I am not familiar with. Because of all the obscure strip malls that hide local eateries that only the locals are usually aware of, I occasionally find a great place to eat.
That being said... I always feel sorry for the poor sap holding the sign.
