Congrat steelers..but the first touch down..or was it?

Can some one verify this for me? Take a pix of rudy's car. I think he wrote "go steelers on the side windows"

Clearly (and just barely) a touchdown. If the Seahawks defender hadn't hit Ben's elbow just when he did, the ball wouldn't have moved an inch toward the plane of the goal line. Ben was holding the ball tight to his body but it moved away just enough.

I realize that the entire city of Seattle thought it was a bad call (and we Steeler fans have had our share of bad calls in the past) but in this case, the rule says the ball has to break the plane of the goal line and in did -- just barely...

Bottom line -- it wasn't a factor in the overall outcome of the game anyway so what else is there to say?

You're right...that one was the correct call.

There were, however, a couple of bad calls...there always are. Could have been game changers, we'll never know.

Seahawks looked good. Glad to see it was a pretty good game. Aside from Hasselback trying to take control of the game himself and causing the offense to look a little disjointed a couple of times, they were right there.

Coulda, shoulda...

Congratulations.

I'm glad the Steelers won, but what about the offensive interference call on Seattle for their touchdown? That was a ticky-tack if you ask me. John Madden and Al Michaels said the same thing. But I guess the only one that counts is what the officials thought.

Even had it been spotted at the 1" line, Steelers still had another down.

Congrats Rudy.

That said it was a horrible game. A game decided by refs. Both teams were lousy and the refs were worse.

You can honestly say the two best teams in football played last night?

No offense Rudy but Pittsburg was handed that game by the refs and Seattle.

Clearly a touchdown? Did anyone else out there watch that game on Plasma HD........Clearly NOT a

touchdown! Clearly not pass interference! Clearly the refs had their heads up there...........

C'mon NFL what are the refs using to watch replays...a low res Watchman geeeeze

Rothlisburger was horrible. Bettis.....a no show. Hines Ward MVP? I guess by default.

Seattle looked horrible to but sometimes the better team finds a way to lose. The Seahawks, if given the

chance would have won that game.

The Steelers looked o.k. during the playoffs. They certainly did'nt show they were a dominating force they

think they are.

Sorry Rudy. Nothing personal.
