This would be a beautiful thing, because then I don't have to hear how "great" Brady is for a while It is funny how for 2 weeks straight he has left the field immediately after the game. Seems like he's taking Bellichick's teachings to heart - "Win with ego, lose with ZERO dignity"
Oh, don't get me wrong, Brady is still the 2nd all-time greatest QB (slightly below Montana). He just does not have the benefit of a supporting cast, like Manning has had, for example. He also has not played the game in 1 1/2 years and will slowly come around. The 8 games I predict they win will be exclusively because of him (like he did against Buffalo), but he's still only human and can't win all the games by himself. Even when he wins, I have not ever seen him gloat. All the Pats players are taught to stay humble and real, win or lose.

I understand as a Chargers fan how you would want to hold on to the slightest bit of hope that he is still the man. Sorry to burst your bubble, he isnt the man he used to be. The Chargers offense is better in the spread setting with sproles back there. They arent the same line it up and run LT 70% of the time anymore. Rivers is the new leader on that team. He has matured into a great qb with a lot of fire and leadership qualities. Only question is can sproles last an entire season? We sure as hell know that LT cant. When was the last playoff game LT played in? Oh yea when its game time he hasnt been there in the time that matters most. Sorry but imho LT is done.

Philip Rivers is that leader now. The fire and emotion he plays with every play is what that team needs. LT has lost half his play time to Mighty Midget.

Chargers gave sproles the money they wouldnt give turner. Why do you think that is? The sun is setting on LT.
I dont think you really know what you're talking about. LT has been injured yes but San Diego ALWAYS gets off to slow starts in the season. He is not done for the season... The Chargers went 2-3 a couple years ago and still won their division. LT barely did anything the first 4 games 2 years ago and still ended up with the rushing title... you're jumping way to quickly to conclusions.

It's week 3 ... unless it's week 13 and the chargers are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs and LT has like 300yds avging 0.5ypc... then would be the time decide, but it isn't it's week 3 everyone's only gotten through not even a fourth of the season, every team still has 75% of their games to play.

Apparently I missed the part where the NFL started handing out the Lombardi trophy in September...

I have to disagree, in the winning years Brady had the benefit of a good defense, good running game, and good receivers. Which to me puts hims well below other great QB's like Marino (who never did have a great D or running game - hence 0 rings), Elway (who was amazing, but never had a great D and when he finally got a running game won back to back SB's). Not to mention the added "filming" that probably helped the Pats win a little too (now gone since I am sure the NFL is watching them like hawks).

2nd greatest of all time? I think not, he had a great supporting cast when he won (just like all great QB's) but his career #'s don't - and probably won't - play out as the 2nd greatest of all time. There are far too many ahead of him. I am a Steelers fan, but I am not delusional enough to put Ben anywhere near the greats yet - and he has only one less ring than Brady, one more than Peyton and 2 more than Marino.

Yeah I agree, almost any quarterback wouldve been pretty great with the supporting cast Tom Brady had... I wont take anything away from the guy as he is smart on the o-line calling plays. He's also got incredible accuracy nonetheless. But he is still light years away from Montana/Marino etc. though

But im not going to go out there like some NY Giants fan saying "Tom Brady Sucks Balls!"
