While I agree with you to an extent, morality is a matter of perception. Most who claim the highest morality are in fact very amoral. What a young lady chooses to do for a living may not be the type of work we would wish on any woman in our family but she may also be (I don't know her so I can't say for sure) much more moral than say a priest who claims supreme morality while playing with little boys in his spare time.
dammit pj you nailed it w that one for sure, and blue sorry to say any pornstar whos making $300k plus a year, i would most certainly guess doesn't give a damn weather you or any of us for that matter respect them or not shell be the one giving you the finger in the fast lane out the window of that 997 gt3

Well morality and tax bracket have nothing to do with one another. However, I do think it's possible to be in that industry and still be a moral person. Morality is perception, there are societal morals (like she shouldn't be doing her thing i a pre-school) but a person's own morals are just that - their own.

This thread is about respect, not morality, so yes everyone deserves some respect until they prove themselves unworthy. Regardless of gender, age, or ethnicity there are a-holes in every group.

However, the idea of unconditional respect towards 50% of the world's population is rather simple minded.
At first meeting, respect should be given, to EVERYONE! Otherwise by prejudging a person ("50% of the world's population), we are once again assuming superiority! As for "Unconditional" I never said that, I am a proponent of respect first, and then varying degrees of respect afterward based upon personal opinion of the person (the way 99.9% of us do it anyway). The distinction being that at first glance, knowing nothing about the person in question, respect should be total and ONLY then altered for personal tastes!

Don't get wrong, I feel that it is VERY important to show respect to elders, women, and even other men! The rapid decay of America's (and the world's) moral fabric is a serious problem. I think this decay is a major cause of the lack of respect throughout the country.
However, the idea of unconditional respect towards 50% of the world's population is rather simple minded. Respect isn't unconditional, a person can be deemed undeserving of respect. The thing that separates human beings from animals is the ability to reason.. being able to make a rational decision based on facts, observations, and beliefs. Judging another human being on their past actions and current behaviors is a very important part of being a human in a society. Calling an amateur pornstar a "skank" is quite fitting on this basis; Webster defines a skank as "a person and especially a woman of low or sleazy character." This term is perfect for a woman who films herself having sex with multiple partners (male and female) and goes as far as to sodomize herself, live, for money. Personally, I have no respect for this woman.. I could probably enjoy her company in a social setting and not verbally insult her lifestyle choices. But I do not see any problem with judging her actions and holding her, as a person, responsible for the way we look/treat her. She could even gain my respect back by giving it up and admitting it was a mistake (like the Marlboro man did).
These types of people are a daily example of immorality and help to perpetuate our society's moral decay.

Woooo e60s!!!!!!!

Well I agree with you on "woooo e60s". Right on bro. And I can certainly find that your belief that what this particular woman does for a living is immoral and not deserving of respect is a reasonable position (although I have no problem with her career choice).

What I didn't like was that the woman went on M5 Board not to discuss her business or to solicit customers/Johns/etc. but to discuss the cars that she clearly digs. She did not identify herself as an escort or someone involved in internet porn. Had she done that or used the board to promote her business, I would not have an issue with people such as yourself objecting to her career choice on moral grounds. But she went on that board to discuss cars (and did so with what seemed like damn extensive knowledge) and certain trolls on that board dug into her background and then had a field day with it, acting like schoolyard bullies. And that I do not like.

In any event, E60's rock and you're dead on about that.

Exactly.. she made a decision choosing that as a profession. Easy money for doing something we all love to do, but she obviously knew she'd be judged for it. They wouldnt get paid as much if it was a respectable career.
I wonder how much the two girls one cup duo made..

+1. Sounds like a shorter, more to the point way of saying what I was trying to express this morning in this thread. And in my time on this board, FP, you definitely practice what you preach on the topic of respect for others.
