Guys (& Gals), first of all, i dont know if this is in the right section, but here it goes. My pc has today decided to not want to come on any more. I only use my PC for updating my ipod which now has 2k plus songs on. Is there anyway i can link it to my laptop keeping my library in tact. I remeber doing a similar thing about a year ago and wiping off over 5k songs. I do not want to do this again. Im not worried about the tracks already on the pc. But i want to use my laptop to downlaod and want to add to my existing songs. Please Help!!!! :'(

For the Mac you have other options and I use PodWorks. Senuti also works well for OSX. Both these will let you transfer all meta data from the iPod.

Once you transfer the songs just authorize your new PC to use the ITMS purchases songs. You can have up to five authorized PCs at one time.

 

I dono about softwares for iPod etc. But I would link your pc hard drive into your laptop and use your laptop to bring all the songs from the PC into the laptop, then sync with new songs. This seems like hard work but I'm sure its safer this way, a buddy of mine used a software that could copy in and out from the ipod file by file and it made his ipod unusable after awhile. Some mounting issue. Thats just my opinion but I've stopped using PCs for awhile so I dono. Cheers..
