Znod...sounds like your having a great time on your vacation! Thanks for the entertaining pics and hope to see more. Our company has an office in Koln Germany...never been there but I hope to soon. Have you been able to take advantage of any of the high speed roads in your rental?
High-speed roads, definitely, yes.

For all, a guickie--more later:

Today we saw signs for:

Wang
Wangers
Fuchsberg
Werkhoff

Just in fun--for Ice, especially.

Having great time. Great hotels; beautiful places.

Oh, and here is a pic of our 3er--320d. Very nice little car. Makes me think more about getting a 335i, but, then, there always is the 09 590i.
Keep those nice photos coming...

Maybe a bit less wa**ing and fu**ing

Did drive last week with a brand new E90 320i and boy was I glad to get my own E60 back.

My favourites in France were "straight on" for Condom/Agen with a "turn off to the right" leading to Auch.

Thanks for hanging with me Rr and ABC.

Today's headline: NAV LADY SNATCHES DEFEAT FROM VICTORY

Luzern: 2:00 pm. Once again Nav Lady did it poorly. She got Znod and wife within 50' of arriving perfectly at their Luzern hotel. She took them from Insbruck to Luzern and then over a tricky route to within one turn of their hotel. Unfortunately, she did not say "turn right" quickly enough and said to do so in the middle of a bridge. Then, she got the party hopelessly lost trying to get back to the other side of the river and to the hotel. Znod finally turned her off and the tired couple managed to find the hotel on their on. All's well that ends well.

Luzern is, as usual, a gorgeous place, and our hotel room is on the river also with a view of the lake and a range of mountains. I may have a new favorite place, although we drove through a mega rainstorm and walked in moderate rain for several hours. All clear now.

Here are the top photos for today--from a store floor.

That's a good suggestion. She has helped some, but mainly on things we could easily do ourselves--like Inzbruck to Luzern. Unfortunately, she tends to fail in the detailed/complex circumstances--where you need her the most. She took us on a wild goose chase in Insbruck--trying to get to its "Old Town" area. The Nav Lady can't dampen our spirits, but, if I weren't for the large screen, then I probably wouldn't get nav on my next BMW.

maybe she can sense that you are tourists and providing the "scenic" routes. it doesn't sound like you are getting lost in some rough neighborhoods, so all is well

Znod - Sounds like your NAV lady is getting quite confused on your journey. I think I know what the problem is... do you have the NAV version with the dark haired lady on the front of the DVD or the version with the blond lady on the front?

(This is probably going to get me into triouble, but couldn't resist )
