....as an ICU nurse 'D' I have seen some unbelievable crap, even a simular C.T. image of a dude stabbed in the head, but never with such a great outcome. Thank God she is ok! Tell your friends though to be vigilant for signs of infection (increased temp, unsual behavior etc.).
I always tell my friends, want to see miracles, come work in a hospital.

Merry Christmas, Phill

Hey Guys, My friends and I both thank you for your kind words and thoughts. I didn't want to start this initial topic till I knew for sure that Teagan was in the clear thats why I waited till earlier tonight. Everyone gets choked up just talking or thinking about it. This family is so incredible, such great people, I'm lucky to have them as friends. This is one of these stories that never happens to anyone you know, seems so surreal. We are so thankful for this outcome. Be careful, keep a close watch on your children and be thankful for what you have. So amazing, I can't say it enough. Their story was on the 10PM news on a local FOX affiliate tonight. Heres the link...

I was hoping the story and picture were faked. It is horrible to think of the ordeal - even if it turned out to be a best case scenerio.

Hopefully her parents didn't see that film before it was extracted. Usually not.
Thankfully, everything worked out for all, especially the child.

FYI, they featured this amazing story this morning on Fox and Friends and it looks like it was picked up by the AP:

Thanks for the info Rudy! I had no idea it had been picked up nationally.
ABC and CBS local affiliates ran stories last night at 10 and Fox did a follow up story regarding Teagan.

CBS STORY
I finally was able to talk to my friend Katie, the mother, in person last evening. Teagan is doing great and seems as though she will make a full recovery which is so incredible. Katie told me that the stories would be run three different networks simultaneously last night and joked that she is just waiting for Oprah to call. She also joked that she won't let her daughter use a fork anymore and makes her eat everything with a spoon. It's nice to see Katie smiling again. Thanks again everyone for your kind words and concern.

A fund has been set up to help with Teagan's medical bills if any of you would like to donate.

If you search Google news, you'll get a bunch of additional hits:

One other detail that I learned today that I don't think was mentioned before...the incident happened while at a church!
