My friends Neil and Katie's daughter had a freak accident this week. They're little two year old girl Teagan somehow found a screwdriver laying around, picked it up, then fell while walking with it. The screwdriver entered her left eye socket and entered her skull and proceeding directly into her brain. She was airlifted to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. The screwdriver missed her eyeball by a fraction of an inch. It is an absolute miracle, she is completely ok. She has undergone surgery and a complete battery of tests and they can find absolutely nothing wrong. No loss of brain function, no loss of sight, nothing. Just eight stitches, thats it!! Absolutely unbelievable!!! Here is a picture from the actual x-ray of little Teagan's head.

HOLY CRAP! The story and that image is surreal. It looks like something you'd see on the Simpsons instead of real life. I don't mean to make light of the situation but it looks unreal!
Kids are so fragile. My 2.5 year old almost suffered a similar faith. He was in the yard and picked up this thin hollow metal pipe and tried to look through it and took one step and lowered the 2' rod and it hits the ground and pokes him a millimeter to the inside corner of his eye, missing his eye. The thought still makes me shiver.
Hope your friends kid fully recovers.
Happy Holidays and be safe everyone!

So glad your friend's little girl is fine, she is a lucky young lady. The CAT scan is very scarey.
A great Christmas present for the little one to be unscathed.
