In Cali both the ar15 and the ak47 are legal as long as it has a 10 round clip, semi-auto, and the clip cannot be removed without a key.

Had a Glock 29 that was customized...nickel plated with ivory handle inserts. The wife made me sell it when our son was born. Oh well....
