BTW on the winterwheels, check www.ebay.de, there are lots of them
Thanks guys.
Been on ebay and you can get them for around EUR 700. I just have in issue with having to pay for wheels that I will be giving back to the lease company

I will contact some dealers to see if they are interested in doing a deal...

I know exactly what you are going through - the logistics of optimizing the tires when buying/selling cars made me drive once in one day to k?ln and back to exchange wheels on the touring i was going to buy - 1900km but was worth it, otherwise I would have had to sell my car with 19s that i wanted to keep...

you are just pre-financing it. Buy them for 700, sell your m135 summer set on ebay for 1200 - take your wife out for a romantic dinner with the remaining 500,-

1200 for my M135s... now that would be nice! I like your thinking though
Just out of interest, do you still have the 19" summer rims from your 520dA?
I spoke to Lissy Tuning about spacers and he said the 10mm would just about work on the 128s (fine for the M166s), but really I should use 12mm for the 128s and 10mm for the M166s. So that means changing spacers at the end of each season, which sounds like hassle, especially if the place I ask to do it does not prep the hub & spacers correctly before mounting the rim. That said, I guess I could swap and prep the wheels myself at the end of each season and then simply take the wheels to a "wheel garage" to have them balanced etc.
Any advice??

hmm - not a fan of switching the spacers every six months. if you are unlucky, you will not be able to remove the spacers from the hub and that is a pain. what is the config of your 166s, i assume et 28 and not et 17. you could get away by using 12mm for the 128s and 166s becuase you have a touring. all e61s come with automatic heigh adjustment in the rear, so typically 166s with et 12 could rub, but because of automatic heigh adjustment, there wont be any rubbing. it is a very aggressive setup but doable. if i remember correctly, i had it on my first e60: www.syed.at/e60 and here a pic with 13mm spacers iwth et 28: http://www.syed.at/e60/images/IMG_0717.JPG
so to cut the long story short: take 12mm and use them for summer and winter and you should be fine!!!!

I don't have the car yet, so no idea on the condition of the wheels and tyres. (Would have been nice to swap them for the M166s before you returned your car to BMW -- obviously with a little something extra to make it worth it for you
)
Thorsten at Lissy Tuning told me that the 13mm with M166s (ET28) would be too much on the rear and that 10mm was correct. He said the 10mm with 128s (ET32) would be enough when the car is on the ground, but when it is up on a ramp it would be very close... and that could be an issue with T?V when I go to get it approved![Think](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/think.gif)
So I have asked Thorsten to quote me for a set of 8,5" M166s all round... yes, like the ones you just gave away!!

As requested Doc, I gave my verdict in the Post you linked to above.
