I have no reason to post there anymore.

Besides, why bother with them when I can get such great info from e60.net (and other boards even though I no longer own those specific models).
Aye, that forum has become Bimmer.Org II. No sense of humor t'all.

My biggest complaint with their E60 board is that there's really no traffic compared to this place.
Quit being so modest, this board is just plain better.

Casper,
Please, in the future, reconsider making posts such as the following:

"It just confirms what has been said many times, the 550i is a far better car than a 535i. Period." This was one of your posts on this forum on 1/30/08.

Some members, me among them, find posts such as this to be condescending, inflammatory, unnecessarily contentious, and inaccurate. This forum is a community of members gathering to share information. If you filter your comments with courtesy and respect for other members, you will most likely not have any future problems.
I'm with Iceman here, it's just one person's opinion. Yours may well be very different, but it doesn't mean that the others are necessarily less valid. In fact, and in the interests of balance, if you were to take a look back at threads like the 535/550 "race" threads and others that have followed you'll find posts just like the one you quoted from Casper but taking a different position and juxtaposing the 535/550. In fact, you've done just that right here with the "inaccurate" comment. At the end of the day, there's really no right or wrong answer so what does it matter? I'm sure you are just as happy with your car as Casper is with his - and that's all that really matters.

I agree. And there probably is at least one person happy with their Yugo so its best not to say anything if you can't say something nice. That is my take.

I agree that personal attacks should be avoided and are reason enough to bann anyone, there is no need to be disrespectful. But where do we draw the line, you are basically asking me to stop posting opinion, and isn't that part of what is forum is about? You don't have to agree , you can post yours too. Maybe a new person looking to buy an E60 comes here looking for opinions and feedback to make a decision.

Posting opinion is good, but not claim this opinion is a rule.
Example:
IMHO the 550 is a better car than the 535 because...
Instead of posting:
The 550 is the better car (and then no explanation)

It has not been a big problem on our forum and I think it will never become a big problem.

Cool. Freedom of speech. With one exception, no personal attacks. I like it and abide by these rules.

+1 Mrs. D gets pretty P.O'd about the amount of time I spend on the forum. No ultimatums as of yet.

My Ride: I have a 2007 Black Sapphire BMW 530i with SMG. It has the auburn interior, has PDC, Sports Package, Premium Package, rear automatic sunshades with manual side sunshades, 35% black tint, Upgraded angeleyes from Angelibrights, and Logic 7 Sound System

I am also a member on BF and find it very...dull to say the least. There is really no traffic and people argue over there about the stupidiest things. I remember reading recently where somebody was talking about mustangs on there and the situation just got ugly. I would have never found this site had it not been for VT!
