I have been banned from bimmerfest for 3 days because I called someone a troll after he called me one.
I find that action a bit extreme, especially without warning and after being a member for so mnay years.

I have been a member of the BMW community for many years (BMWCCA member since 1982), and I enjoy E60 forum , bimmerfest, roadfly, etc.

Does anyone here find bimmerfest a bit strict and arrogant?

Is a great forum, second only to this one.

You and "cvb" were going back and forth calling each other trolls and what not and disrupting threads. It wasn't one post.

Regardless of who started it (this is not Kindergarten), it was a violation of Bimmerfest's TOS.

I think Bimmerfest is fairly laid back in terms of over moderating and such.

By the way, you do realize that posting this question in the main e60 discussion forum was inappropriate, right?

I should add that Roadfly was the forum that most people held to be overmoderated and intolerant back in the day.

In my opinion, saying you "enjoy roadfly" is enough to get yourself banned...

You are apparently a somewhat less than friendly ghost.

Bimmerfest pardoned my sentence and allowed me back in the forum.

I am being extremely careful from now on with my posts, I don't want to offend anyone or violate forum protocol.

Is kind of hard not being able to express your opinion freely, but I will get the hang of it.

I guess that if I do not express opinions about the person posting I will be OK, stick to opinions about the subject of the post.

That last sentence is pretty much the golden rule here too...

You may know that I left "that" message board due to the way they handled the "Knights of the Roundel" issue on the 6er forum. It wasn't their reaction to the principle character leaving but the deleting of threads that had nothing to do with the incident including the "Ask Cobradav" thread. To top it off, they seemed to bring in out of character members to post on the 6er forum to keep it alive. Up to that point, no one had ever discussed boxes, bubbles, donks, and jacking up the 650i to install 26 inch rims on it. Then they started to borrow information from the newly established KotR and claim it as their own. Any thread I opened inquiring on the situation was scorned, locked, and eventually completely deleted. Because of the deletions, most members had no clue what actually transpired and sided with the admins as to their handling of the situation. I myself haven't been banned, but my signature and avatar were changed by the admins and ANY reference to KotR is an instant ban for life. I have no reason to post there anymore.

Besides, why bother with them when I can get such great info from e60.net (and other boards even though I no longer own those specific models).
