I have one question regarding how the new LCI tail lights work. I am thinking of making the rods light brighter while you are braking and making the brake red background light less.
To acomplish this i am thinking of replacing the brake light bulbs with ones with less wattage and bridging the cable that carries the brake signal to the rods signal cable (with a diode), am i thinking correctly?

Just putting in a lower wattage bulb is all that is needed. The rods get bright when you Brake anyway.
