I highly doubt it, unless you're driving in snow, grill-high

But I'll let the others with experience chime in.
Can the RPI rep chime in from experience?

There are 2 listings for the 545:

Yep those are the ones for the 545, the dual scoop setup is if you have the dinan cai which sucks air from both sides.
I am running the single scoop with stock air intake + k&n filer - charcoal filter.

I believe RPI is out of the scoops, the main intent of the GB was to make it available for the 545i and 550i. As of today, they're out of the scoops. By initiating this list, it allows us to get first dibs when the scoops become available.

Prior to this it was only available for a fey select BMW models. If RPI would offer a better price for the ~20 folks, we would certainly welcome it . $99 is still a good price, considering they're selling the Z4 (single scoop) for $129.

RPI, any thoughts on the quote above?
It really doesnt work that way guys. Some of you (vegastrash, etc.) have been here and saw some of our R&D in progress and you really cant assume in these cases. We measure intake air temps, flow and do all the designs on the dyno. Every change in angle, cut, etc. will affect how the air goes into the engine, effecting the hp output. We tried the "smooth" approach and it does NOT work. I cant really explain how or what type of approach we take in compressing the air going into the intake duct since there are quite a few copycats out there already.

Anyhow, scoops for the 545 are in stock and are ready to ship. Here is the link for the 545 scoop: http://shoprpi.com/product_info.php?cPath=...;products_id=87

Also, I would like to have a dyno day with you guys and if you guys want to dyno an AFE intake, Im game. We already had a dyno day with the M5 guys and the AFE intake. The car made 382whp with stock air box and scoops, then made a whoppin 356whp with the AFE intake. It did manage to put down 384whp with the hood open and the fan (14k CFM) blowing at the filters though.

For this GB, the $99 will include shipping. Those of you who order from the link I posted above use the code: E60MEMBER in the customer comment section of our shopping cart. When we see that, we will deduct the price of shipping when we process your order. The discount wont show on your order page but we will change it on our end here. Free shipping will be available in the continental US and Canada only.

Also, guys, lets set up a group dyno day. I can do 10 cars at $50 each.
