Guys, the DHL method I use will deliver anywhere in the world in about 3 days. Heiko is obviously using a much slower (read cheaper) method. I'm sorry about this. I'll take this up with Heiko and see if he can quote a better method of delivery next time around. But if this is going via USPS then I guess even Heiko is not going to know where the packages are until both systems are updated.
Woohooooo!! My lights arrived from Germany today!! Off to open boxes -- feels like Christmas. Guys, keep an eye out because if I have them here in Florida you should receive them today too or tomorrow, right?
Btw, they were left at my front door by our postman.

Here are photos of the boxes and contents. I thought others might like to see that they were professionally packed and arrived with no harm to the boxes. There will be two of them taped together with Bruce's cables and mounting bracket inside one of them. These are obviously brand new lights with Hella/BMW labeling all over them just like one would expect to find. So what I'm saying is that these are indeed OEM lights as advertised with the proper "Made in Germany" label. In fact, mine indicate they were made in January 2009.
Btw, congratulations Bruce on producing such a professional looking mechanism for the lights. Looks as OEM as any car part possibly can IMHO.
Hope these help others who are worried about quality like I always am. Here you go ...

Did you get them via USPS?
Let me know if you'd like to come over to install them over here. You could show me those V3 lights you wanted to sell if you still have them.

However, I did receive a notification on May 18 that my package had been sent concerning my Google Checkout from "Apr 29, 2009 5:07 PM PDT". I never understood if that meant Bruce's cable boxes from the UK were being sent on May 18 or if it was in fact from Heiko in Germany after he had already received Bruce's shipment. Perhaps Bruce can shed some light on that. The shipment note concerned his company, Mironics in the UK and I never received any form of shipment details from Heiko directly. I found that a little odd.
Bruce, you have an excellent product obviously, and Heiko's shipment of the lights was exactly what he advertised, brand new and OEM, so if you two can just work on a better shipping relationship I think you'll have everything sorted out just fine.
Btw, in case it matters to anyone, the 2nd light I opened was manufactured in March 2009 and is as perfect as the one in the first box. I'm very pleased!
I'm going to reuse the packing material and boxes they came in to store my old ones and will most likely put those back on when I sell the car. I know I won't recoup any of the new ones' value in the total price of the car whenever it's sold. My plan is to come back here and sell them at probably something like 50% off to someone else in the forums. By then the value of these pre-LCI cars will be down quite a bit and the folks who buy them probably won't have the funds to spend this much money on a new set. We'll see, but I know they'll be a good buy for the next lucky owner because my car is always garage kept and I keep everything looking pretty darn perfect.
