I have seen on the youtube someone has changed the HUD software and made to be as at M5.
He added the indicators right and left to HUD
Does anyone know how to do?

In that post look for "Turn indicator in the HUD". It would need to be coded with NCSExpert.
If you haven't coded before, to find out more about coding check out...

I don't have HUD so I wasn't able to test/confirm this, however the indicators I believe can be coded in. Check out this post...

Does anyone have the schematic on the HUD unit? I am trying to retrofit it into another vehicle.
Appreciate it.

The following documents will help answer many questions about the technology behind the HUD and what adjustments are possible.

I have a 08 5 Series and recently had the HUD replaced under warranty due to some white spider web markings on the HUD cover glass. Just picked up the car a few days ago and the projected image is definitely different than it was before. It seems to be on a different angle vertically (seems sloped more forward vs. upright like it was before), and I am also seeing some images lightly doubled at the top of the display area. Also the speed numbers seem to lack uniformity in color (darker at the bottom of the number, normal brigtness as you move up to the top).
I have already called the dealer back and told them about this and that I will need to bring the car back to have it adjusted, and the Service Manager seemed to indicate that the only adjustments are left/right.
Based on what I am seeing, are there adjustments possible to correct those? I have looked over the documents that have been posted and I am seeing a "display adjustment" and a "height adjustment". Just not sure if those will address my problems, or if there is something wrong with the actual HUD unit replaced.
Any thoughts/input would be appreciated!

Hi
Re-fit a HUD can be done , cost about 700-1000USD , an a lot of work
New dashboard is not nessesery , you can use the one you have , must just be altered. ( make hole for the HUD lens + HUD frame )
It will also work with your ordenaiery windshield ( you must have a wery good sight to see the difference , I changed first my windshield later to the right one ,due to a "crack" in the old windshield ), so long it is not a "klima comfort windshield" , you can't have this together with HUD according to BMW.
If any one will , I can upload some pitcure from the "project" , so you can see what you up against It was one of my "bigger" task's
