So what happens when you're going down the road at 160kph and your kid
decides to poke the electric brake button with the red P on it?!

I still like the manual brake......
so no more handbrake turns

Guess "officially" it is "Parking Brake". Or, instead of a hand brake (since it only requires a touch) will it be a Finger Brake

Per the Z4 manual, pulling the lever while driving activates the hydraulic disc brakes. I guess it can be used to stop the car bit its no longer an "emergency" brake to use if the hydraulic system fails.

BTW, you pull the lever to set and push the button to release, same motions as a hand brake.

it is in the center console right behind the shifter. there are 2 buttons: the bottom button says "auto" and the 1 above that is the parking brake "P". it should be electronic just like the audi A6 & A8.
i loved that parking brake on my audi.. its so cool cause it sucked the pedal away from your foot.. its just cool, so thats 1 small thing i like on the f10. hmm, maybe ill like something else too, well besides the engine..lol

Sport Automatic Transmission (SAT) has the paddles, was introduced in the US with the LCI cars in model year 2008...
Interesting that the paddle shifters are now +/- on opposite sides like the M5, as opposed to the non-M5 E60 paddle shifters that shift both ways on each side.
