Sleep time for F10
Hello gentlemen!
I own an e60 but I have a quick question about f10s.
I installed illuminated gear knob on my e60 but I have a little problem. The gear knob is illuminated after the engine is stopped and until it goes in sleep which in turn make a lot of battery drainage and idrive notification about the same.
Does this happens in F10s that the knob keeps illuminated until the car goes in sleep?
What is thee time it takes to enter in sleep mode?
Thanks!

My Ride: F10 535i 6 speed MT
I personally installed an M5 illuminated shift knob in my 2011 F10 535i, connecting it to ground and a dimmed dash power wire. The knob light, as do the instrument lights, goes out when the F10 start button is depressed twice, shutting off the engine, and the driver's door is then opened. Alternately it turns off if the start button is pressed once to stop the engine and the car is then locked using the remote. Also it turns off if the start button is pressed once to stop the engine and the car is then not locked with the remote but a timer then turns off the dash light power, shortly thereafter. I use the first method. I hope this helps.
