First impressions:

1. Cabin quality - we are talking about a major step up here. Awesome. This is 7 series territory.

2. Performance - kicking myself I didn't get at least the 528i. The chassis is crying out for more power. At least this engine sounds nice at high revs.

3. 8 speed paddle box - verdict is out maybe I was expecting it to feel more like a double clutch. Hate the fact that after going manual with the paddles it reverts back to "D" in a couple of seconds. I would like that to be my decision please.

4. Ambient lighting ...... rocks

5. VDC - also controls the steering weight and gearbox shift points. Sport is more supple than the standard E60 was. Comfort is stiffer than an E-Class Merc. Overall I like it - the differences between the settings are much more evident than on an airmatic E-Class.

6. Sport seats now have the headrests that extend forward (see pic). In the E60 this was only a feature of Comfort seats

7. When engine is stopped the radio keeps playing after you get out until the car is locked - weird - maybe can be changed in I-drive menu

8. Standard wheels - look so so but the ride is great, jury is out on whether I'll change them.

9. Small screen (no nav) looks a bit sad

10. There's now a trunk unlocking button next to the bonnet release catch.

Enjoy the pics. Will post more once I drive it some more. So far, overall I love it
Congratulations. An excellent car. Just tell me something. Reviewers say that after 100kmh the engine sucks. Is it true?

I've never seen shadowline make such a difference than on the F10- Car looks great & standard wheels don't look out of place like I expected. I'm not brave enough to opt for AH but think you made a great choice- This will stand out from the crowd without being too in-your-face! What % tint is that?

Congrats for your new car and the magnificent pics. AW suits the F10 very well indeed.

As Ricracing pointed out, the trunk unlocking button is also present in the E60.

A little of topic PoleApart, but how do you find the S-max? I'm thinking about getting one with the diesel engine to replace my 120dM.

Amazingly good actually. If you want a van that is actually fun to drive - no contest, I don't think there is anything close by a mile. I actually don't have an issue swapping cars with my wife when necessary. It handles well, is powerful, zippy and amazingly versatile. The facelifted models have some cool improvements such as the panoramic roof is now without a dividing bar in the middle. Of course if you don't need the space there's more fun cars out there but if you enjoy driving and well handling cars like I do you should like it. It actually has comparable equipment, more space, more power and larger wheels than my beemer for 60% of the price

Some more pics with the red beast this time. Forum software does bad things with photos
