Beautiful car. I love my ambient lighting too but the OEM tint is much lighter than on the E60. You have to squint to see it. Waste of money, better to go aftermarket.

$72k.... That's just under what my 523i ended up at...

Hey beautiful car man!! Congrats on your new 5 and welcome to the forum. I'm from St. Chalres, IL myself, but currently in the Navy stationed in Willow Grove, PA at the moment. Would it be too much trouble to get some engine shots of your new beast !?!?

Congrats on the new 550! I just picked my 550 up last week and absolutely LOVE IT!! I noticed that in your pictures your ambient lights seem much much brighter than mine. Is this due to your camera or is there a setting that I'm not aware of?

I think it's the camera setting. I think the Ivory interior also makes the lighting stand out more. There is no switch setting I can think of that you can adjust the ambient lighting. Hey, I noticed you're from Calabasas!......I used to live there a few years ago on Las Virgenes Rd. and Thousand Oaks Blvd.!......awesome community, I really miss it!

I'm going to venture a guess here -- the ambient lighting brightness is likely adjustable via the same dial that adjusts the brightness of the instrument cluster...

The dial only adjusts the brightness of the instrument cluster.
