when we ordered our 535i in march there was no waiting list... behind us however you would have to wait for 5 months to get a new 5 series! no wonder the sales were lower because the demand drove potential buyers away

At the end of the day, it's just a car. Either you like it or you dont. Simple.

I have an e60. Love it. Looked at a few pics of the f10 and was disappointed, while visiting the dealer to do some repairs on my car, saw a f10 and was amazed that it looks so much better in person.

There are things I like about my car that the f10 lacks and there are things I like about the f10 that my car lacks.

At the end of the day, it's just a car. And a side note, I drive a 530i, not a 550 or 535... LOL

Lets see here the E class is based on the C class chassis the F10 is based off the 7 series chassis the E class is cheaper in price rightfully so compared to the F10. Which would you buy, a scaled down 7 series or an upscale C class. Most average buyers make their decision mostly based on price, thus the higher sales for E class but we all know you get what you pay for and the F10 is a superior car overall.

It isn't...

The E-Class Coupe is the only model that is related to the C-Class. The remainder of the W212 models are built on an E-Class specific chassis. As for cost, the F10 and W212 are broadly comparable, particularly when comparably equipped. There's no significant price difference between the F10 and W212.
