first off..check your attitude and your condescending remarks at the door...
second...read my post again sir...where in my post did I say that you can get a "stripped down 550i for 80K". I said "some", whereas you may think "most". Even with that interpretation the arrogant "do your homework" response was both uncalled for and unwarranted.
what I said is that equipped options will vary depending on the price and the model
again you listed options that you think are important and relevant...
your listed 550i above is 83,125...
same options on a 535i 76,750...add on rear seat entertainment and ACC and I'm at 81,350 (on a 550i the extra's i add'd = $85,325), which IMO, is ALL the goodies
***perhaps splitting hairs, but then again I didn't know i was going to be subject to the scrutiny of pete550i
and check the current lease rates, another factor perhaps in determining which model works out best for an individual:
2011 BMW 535i Sedan Lease
24 Month ? Residual 62% of MSRP ? .00225 Base Rate
36 Month ? Residual 56% of MSRP ? .00225 Base Rate
48 Month ? Residual 41% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
60 Month ? Residual 33% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
2011 BMW 550i Sedan Lease
24 Month ? Residual 59% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
36 Month ? Residual 53% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
48 Month ? Residual 39% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
60 Month ? Residual 32% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
don't know why you think your opinion is the only opinion that matters and/or is correct around here pete..amazing how you can never seem to participate in a discussion without taking a jab at someone...this last post by you only continues to add to the evidence to the fact that you are indeed a troll unfortunately, I hope you prove me wrong tho
I may need to do my homework, but let me know when you actually show up for class....

OUCH!.....taking things a little too personal aren't you there, Gene?
BTW, whose F10 are we taking about....yours? In all our discussions thus far, we've always taken little jabs at each other, but we knew it was all in good fun. So why are you so upset?
BTW, I don't know where you got your math but with the options I've listed above on a 550i, the total comes out to $80,875 according to BMW's website. (still under $81K)
If I'm forced to go with a 535i, I wouldn't go crazy and load up an already heavy car with every possible option and strain that 6 cyl. engine even more. (The V8TT has more than enough power to take it but the 6 doesn't). The 535i is best enjoyed with just a Sports package and a manual (or 8p AT) for best performance......this is just my opinion, Gene, so don't get your panties all in a bunch.
Back to the original thread.....F10 M-Sport's are going to be extremely rare....best bet is to order one equipped to one's liking.

I just build one 535i on bmwusa.com for $90,000 it's with 312 wheels, it's lot of money for it I wouldn't buy for my self, I would buy 550i just build one the way I like no 312 wheels came up to $80,500, lots of this cars are build for export and there is big difference in custom rates between 535i ( 3.0L) and 550i (4.4L)

My Ride: BMW 550i M Sport
My 550i M-Sport is the first order in the UK, they have some 550i m sports (3) pre made for BMW and that's it, so mine is the first ordered, it would seem people are scared off of the V8 engines here due too fuel costs and road tax charges.

Petes550i, US$81k is dirt cheap for a 535i for poor folks like us in Singapore. Here, a 535i (non-M) costs US$220k. My 523i cost me US$161K. I will be driving a Ferrari in California. I guess in Singapore, all who bought cars are fools but that's life.
