msport was add'd for september production...so it's farily new for th US market...that being said, you should start see them more on the lots as the weeks go by and dealerships get deliveries...
if you really want one, I say you talk to a CA an order an F10 to your spec, it's worth the wait...

That may be but what fool would pay that much for a 535i when you can get a 550i M-Sport and other goodies for the same price or less?

for others, the N55 engine isn't the snail or slug some think it to be, and don't mind paying extra for more of the luxury/tech stuff rather than what's under the hood. As what you get in a 535i vs a 550 for the price can be very noticeable in terms of options.....
"other goodies" is subject to personal interpretation....
a simple test...check off all the options on both a 535i and 550i and tell me if the prices are the same....or even just check off the same options for both models that you think to be "goodies" and compare prices...yes for 80K you can get a 550i with some goodies, but for 80K in a 535i you can get almost ALL the goodies...make sense?

to you it's obvious the V8 TT is a major selling point...

WRONG!
For $80K, you get a 550i w/M-Sport package that includes everything in the Sports Package, along with Adapative Drive,....Plus, you can get Dynamic Handling, Convenience Package, Premiuim Package 2, Cold Weather Package, Active Ventilated Seat package, 8-sp Sport AT, HUD, Integral Active Steering, Night Vision, Smart Phone Int., and Side/Top View cameras.......all for $80K!
The only things left out is rear seat entertainment, active cruise control, and 4 zone climate control.
So I say again, who in their right mind would give up all this and get a "lesser" 535i for the same price?
Next time Gene, do your homework.

So you think for $80K you'll only get a stripped-down 550i?
WRONG!

second...read my post again sir...where in my post did I say that you can get a "stripped down 550i for 80K". I said "some", whereas you may think "most". Even with that interpretation the arrogant "do your homework" response was both uncalled for and unwarranted.
what I said is that equipped options will vary depending on the price and the model
again you listed options that you think are important and relevant...
your listed 550i above is 83,125...
same options on a 535i 76,750...add on rear seat entertainment and ACC and I'm at 81,350 (on a 550i the extra's i add'd = $85,325), which IMO, is ALL the goodies
***perhaps splitting hairs, but then again I didn't know i was going to be subject to the scrutiny of pete550i
and check the current lease rates, another factor perhaps in determining which model works out best for an individual:
2011 BMW 535i Sedan Lease
24 Month ? Residual 62% of MSRP ? .00225 Base Rate
36 Month ? Residual 56% of MSRP ? .00225 Base Rate
48 Month ? Residual 41% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
60 Month ? Residual 33% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
2011 BMW 550i Sedan Lease
24 Month ? Residual 59% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
36 Month ? Residual 53% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
48 Month ? Residual 39% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
60 Month ? Residual 32% of MSRP ? .00230 Base Rate
don't know why you think your opinion is the only opinion that matters and/or is correct around here pete..amazing how you can never seem to participate in a discussion without taking a jab at someone...this last post by you only continues to add to the evidence to the fact that you are indeed a troll unfortunately, I hope you prove me wrong tho
I may need to do my homework, but let me know when you actually show up for class....
Lightingball2: sorry for the threadjack...
