Perfect ! so we can all look forward to seeing abandoned F10 / F11's by the side of the road for nothing more than a puncture.

This has got to be one of the dumbest moves by any car manufacturer in a long time...Unless....they are looking to drive up the 'BMW Assist' business.

I guess they'll supply one of those useless tyre foam and compressor kits ? Personally, I'll buy a spare and put it in the trunk, then suffer the loss of load space, not a great look / solution for a new car. Surprised this hasn't come out in the reviews and for sure won't be mentioned when it get's the 'car of the year' award. More like and award for "loose-a-day-while-you-puncture-gets-fixed" award.

A space saving spare is standard now for the Swedish market(it was an option with the E60/61).
With the spare tire there is an extra compartment under the floor of the trunk.

that there was no room for any spare.

Maybe they have changed it. The car was a pre-series car.

Spare is not standard...
