Anyone else get the email and/or sign up for this?
I scheduled just the 60 minute test drive rather than the 90 minute comparison drive. I'm signed up for July 6th @ Center BMW (sherman oaks, CA). Looks like all the local dealerships are hosting this event on different days....
Looking forward to test driving an f10.

I did manage to get to the dealer today for a quick test drive of a 535. They also had a 550 on the floor that already had a deposit from a buyer. I will agree with earlier comments that the interior fit and finish is superior to the E60. BMW did a very nice job on the F10!
The car I drove had both the Sports Pack., the Dynamic Handling and the Sports Auto tranny. The acceleration was solid and the exhaust had a nice throaty sound though I prefer the exhaust of my current 550. Did not get to hear the 550.
The car is a bit bigger as we all know but it seemed quite a bit bigger given the front end. The sloping hood of the E60 makes the car appear smaller from the drivers seat. The drive was very smooth, almost too smooth but not in a bad way. It does feel like the 5 series in general continues to creep closer to the 7 series, becoming a bit more of a luxury sedan and edging away from the sports sedan a bit. The handling with the car in "sport" mode was a strong point! Taking a couple of higher speed turns on interstate on and off ramps, the dampening of the body roll was excellent.
The steering feel was a bit distant compared to my 550 which does not have the Active Steering. But my test drive was short so I want to spend more time with the car before passing judgement...
