After 1 week of ownership I thought I would post more pics and give you an update...
The most impressive things are the 8 speed sport auto gearbox; it changes really quickly and smoothly. If you want to change differently, the paddles instantly do what you command (unless it would mean revs too low etc). If you do not use them again, it keeps the gear but reverts back to auto mode. Brilliant.
Economy is really impressive; 48 mpg on a run at 80+ mph; this is dropping now to 44 mpg with more town driving.
Little things like the rear occupant seat belt alert is cool. When you start up, there are 3 red occupants displayed. If there is a seat belt fastened in the rear, the appropriate red man changes to green with a selt belt on.
I have posted below more pics; note the sealing around the engine - presumably for noise (which is clearly very effective). I have also shwn the hinges and bonnet (hood) catches - a feat of engineering in their own right!
Also, note the warning signs under the bonnet.More pictures of my F10-12.jpg

Did you know those bonnet cathes are active?, if you hit a pedestrian they lift the bonnet up to cushion the human body impact on the bonnet. I had a drive in a 530d f10 recently and was very imppressed.

How long it keeps the gearbox in manual mode when using paddles ? I mean that if I want to drive a bit longer using lower gear, higher revs. in winding road how the car knows that I still want to use same gear and don't want to change back automatically to auto-mode ?

It only stay for about 10secs in the E60, unless you have the sport button pressed. Its probably the same.
