Those old preconceptions won't serve you well if you tried it on with the 2011 cars. They're quicker than yours.

I was talking about the 4.6 Mustang discussed in the article, not the current model.

It's a known fact that the 2010 Mustang GT will even give a M3 a run for its money.

Another hurting evidence of the new 5 Series Achilles' heel: WEIGHT. It's too bad that the new 5 Series doesn't drive the way BMW should. BMW will lose many of its customers. But wait. The reviewer complains about the back space as well. I've read that there's plenty of back space in the new 5er. Can somebody help on this question?

This BabkenBMW is a troll, seeking attention not only in this forum, but others too and he's one guy who doesn't debate with logic

After reading one paragraph dedicated only the cupholders, I did not read the rest of "test review".

Yikes. Another disheartening review panning the F10's fun to drive factor.

Say it ain't so.

The author should realize that the manual is going to require more thought by the driver. He admitted to being in the wrong gear on occasion. So if he was in 6th gear on the entrance ramp he should have dropped it down to 3rd. The F10 is not that much bigger than the E60, so I don't understand his size complaint. The F10 has a longer wheelbase which can make the car feel bigger that it is. The extra 400 lbs is going in the wrong direction. My personal feeling is that BMW has compensated for the extra weight and the F10 is actually faster than the E60. I always laugh at cupholder complaints. I would love to have a cupholder delete option. It's a car ... not a restaurant. There is nothing wrong with the F10 folks. If the weight bothers you, get some light weight 18" wheels and tires.

is the f10 really faster than the e60? model to model (e60 535i to f10 535i)

I mean I've read posts on e90posts regarding differences between the n54 and n55 engines of the 3 series and seems the n55 has been reported to be slower (as well as less tunable). So I'm having a hard time believing that a heavier model with a "slower" engine is actually faster? Perhaps it's the 8 speed transmission. All I know is that both the f10 and e60 are two different cars for two different markets. Weather or not the two will come together is something only time will tell. I myself do like the f10 and have been playing around with the f10 configurator much more lately on the bmwusa site. The only review that really matters is that of the purchaser....we all know numbers on paper translate differently behind the wheel and on the gas pedal....so to all those nay sayers and stone throwers, get behind the wheel and go make a decision for yourself.
