The test report was in my mind a bit inexpertly written - by a Volvo driver.

Now after some 2,000 km's driven my F10 feels better all the time.

It's not so big nor clumsy. The front edges are really hard to make out
but that's why the car needs (and has) the PDC.

What the reviewer drives is totally irrelevant. The review to me seemed pretty well written and balanced. The car was properly equipped with the right packages and the reviewer used the car for a week. He has probably given the car more seat time than most reviewers.

Right now I drive 545i. I did a test drive of 550i (f10) My first impression was pretty much what is in the review here.

I really don't understand why that "weight"?

I am totally impressed with tech in this car. Amazing...but then if it *overheats*

With E60, I had too many electrical issues. It feels bad. I always have that feeling the anything can go wrong at any time.

Couple reviews I can understand, but bunch of reviewers can not be wrong at the same time....

Two things:

I thought the author's comment about "button overload" on an idrive equipped car was amusing but understandable.

The fact that the author struggled to keep up with a 4.6l Stang clearly exploits the F10 535's weight gain without any engine performance increase. An E60 535 would have no problem with a 4.6

Just another journalist's opinion...nothing more, nothing less.

Too bad he didn't test drive the 550i....would've easily smoked that pesky Mustang.

agreed...

although I do think the 528 and 535 will be more of the customer's model than 550....

Not so fast, Pete... The Mustang GT - a car which let us not forget lists at just 30K - is massively lighter than the 550 and its has comparable power (it has 412bhp), whereas the GT500 with 550 bhp will leave pretty much anything under an exotic in its wake, including your 550. Those old preconceptions won't serve you well if you tried it on with the 2011 cars. They're quicker than yours.
