There is unfortunately nothing extraordinary about this car. The appeal has certainly turned conservative and I'm no conservative.. I wish they would have been more daring with the design! Very much resembles the E39 rather than setting it apart.
The E-class even now looks more modern which is shameful!

To each their own, and I mean that respectfully, but you really think the E-Class is a more modern, i.e. better looking car, than the BMW? Below are two angles for each one ... All I can say is, "Really?"
I think the Mercedes looks like the Fairmont-based Ford Granada from the 80's ...

Hate to say it guys...but in the shots of all the generations of 5 series cars, the E60, although beautiful, is starting to look dated!
Quite the opposite. The E60 had a unique look and lines that set it apart from the rest of the series. This F10 just looks like a smaller version of the new 7 series. If it drove by, you'd be questioning yourself "Is that a 5 or a 7".
Also, for some reason the nose and the tail have been elongated. Don't mind the front and rear light design but that nose!
All in all, it's not a bad looking car, but then it doesn't look as good as the E60, with those eagle eyes and jet fighter look.

Thanks for the link. I saw the video... IMO it is very similar to serie 7 but more small obviously. also I extracted the engine types for that F01 available in UK:

The M-B has standard 16 inch wheels an suspension but
the BMW has 19" wheels and the lowered suspension.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
I can say that I'm glad its here. I have had two e39's and two e60's, one black/black one blue/beige one Silver Gray/Grey and one Platinum Bronze/Natural Brown. Other than picking new colors, two of the same body style is enough already.

Do we have details on the options yet? Does the F10 550 Sport have the MSport body, louder exhaust? Does the car weight less?
