Yea, it looks like a happy whale . . .
And I?m not to fond of the lights with the white eyebrows Have seen them on the GT and the X3 and I`m not convinced.
A white bit of plastic . . . is that all . . .
Waiting for the M-tech version. But first the off. pics tomorrow.

I have to agree.
There's much I love about the newest designs, but this plain, no-details strip of white plastic looks like someone said, "We don't know what to put here so let's use ... ummm ... that. We can think of something better when we work on the LCI revisions."
It's a shame these lights can't be opened. I wonder what that piece would look like if the owner painted it the same color as the car body? It could have at least had some dimensional ridges, lines, something ...
Came back to edit this after looking at the pics again: Wonder what they would look like in gloss black if you have the glossy black window trim -- or even satin black? That gloss black could look pretty nice. My favorite upgrade on my car, beyond the M body kit, is the glossy black window trim. It looks so much more modern and 'finished' IMO. The painted satin finish trim looks 80's to me ... (Sorry)

looks ok, wish the grilles werent so big though. like on the new 7-series, if u look at it head-on, it looks like 2 giant nostrils on the car.
they did it right on the z4, whose grills dont overwhelm the front of the car.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
My current car is up this July, looks like a May order date for me. The nice thing about a turbo V8 is that for $2k and a call to Dinan, you can raise the power output to M levels. 400hp/450ftlbs vs 550hp/500lbs. And you can take the new turbo M into really crazy power output territory the same way.
