The only thing you can do is a visual check but the code was for an internal fault which means it's probably damaged internally. Sadly doing a functions check brings you back to ISTA. Without it you would have to send it off to a company to test and fix not knowing if it is your actual issue if nothing jumps out to you doing a visual check. Let us know what you find visually hopefully that's your issue
I’ll try doing a visual but I’m still interested in having you help me load ISTA when you have the time. Pick one and I’ll make myself available
thanks
So I found a couple more codes that ma be significant. On CAS module
1. 930769 switch off of terminal15 due to upper startabilty limit being reached
2 93076A same as above but switch off of terminal 15 does not take place due to an active switch off inhibitor
3. 93076B deactivation of terminal 30B due to upper startabilty limit being reached
4. 93076Cfault code logged when upper or lower startabilty limit( signaled via CAN message) is reached but terminal 30B is not switched off automatically due to an active switch off inhibitor
this all still sounds like an electrical issue my understanding although limited is that terminals 15 and 30B would affect the servtronic motor operation
Update: I finally got the ISTA program on my laptop and ran my first diagnostics. There are service suggestions in the following picture I don’t understand other than the inspect harness between dme and servetronic motor. Can anyone advise me Thanks
If you are unable to perform those tasks yourself, its best to take it to an indy BMW specialist to diagnose. You've been spending too much of your own sweat money already.
It's telling you to update your DME past that I-Level they are listing and or check wiring. To update you need an ICOM which is selling around $600 if you can actually find one to buy. As of now if you checked the wiring and haven't seen any issues then you choices are to acquire an ICOM and program the DME or take it to a shop who can perform it for you to see if updating will solve the issue. If it does not then you're looking at a replacement. Again the easiest thing is to check the wiring then proceed to the choices presented. Do not attempt to program the module without an ICOM. It will lead to bigger issues
