I just got back from a week vacation to Fla. I go to open the door on the passenger side of the car, and find 2" of water on the back seat floor board. I then proceed to pull all the rear deck out and , guess what ...I find more water....

Thank god all the electronics got moved to higher ground, but seriously WTF! I've had two seals go bad in under 6months? I still have 500 miles and 1 month on the full coverage warranty ....back to the frigging dealer yet again...

I'm very seriously thinking of dumping BMW Permanently and getting a MB E-class wagon between the E61 and the E60 with the N54 issues I've had over the past 12-18months.

I'm actually right there with you, and feel your pain.

I have had my car at the dealer now FOUR times for a stalling issue on decelleration that no one at BMW can figure out. They replaced the MAF sensor and alternator, and did not fix it. Between other problems like non-functional NAV (replaced), exhaust lifters so loud the car sounded like a lawnmower, SOS call malfunction which has happened a good 200 times since I owned the car and the dealer wont do anything about (I-DRIVE and radio inoperative), and various trim/leather failures, I've had it with this car.

It goes to the dealer Tuesday for the FIFTH time for the stalling issue. If it doesnt get rectified, back to Japanese cars for me. I've had this car 10 months and I've been to the dealer NINE times, including maintenance visits. I've been without my car for a total of TWENTY FOUR days, not including weekends. This is unacceptable....

Sorry to rant and threadjack, I'm fucking fed up.

Not to mention the stalling problem caused me to miss the Bear Mountain meet, which I was REALLY looking forward to...

Car is still in the shop... turns out there are multiple leaks.... only one has been found though... The Right passenger side rear door Moisture barrier was"compromised" leading to the floor board soak...

They can't find the leak for the rear end wheel well and parcel self though...

I've already started looking at MB E55/63 wagons E350 wagons, Audi s4/6 Avants and a Ford Raptor 6.2l....
I think this was the last straw. I'm fed up after the multiple HPFP failures and then the endless # leaks on the E61.

I feel your pain man. Just be wary because Mercedes cars and trucks have similar quality issues. I have relatives and friends with Benzes that deal with a lot of shit too.

Good luck on getting this resolved.
