Yeah, true.
I could have done that last week - didn't even think of it.
You mentioned some Hartge exhaust tips when we were in M?nchen. Any news about those?
BTW, while I was getting my new wheel, I had my active carbon cabin air filters changed (5900km past the service time), and I asked my buddy (service dept. manager) if I could make an appointment for an oil change. He said, "No, you don't drive enough. I will call you in May 2010 and tell you when you have a time with us."

wow, wasn't expecting to read that. nice service dept. mgr
BMW in Copenhagen would have simply quoted me 10000DKK (1300EUR), like they do for everything I ask them to give me a quote for

I received confirmation from BMW Parts this morning that the 535d/550i tips will not fit on the 530d exhaust
He did however say I could spend 1200Eur on an Eisenmann exhaust system -- thanks buddy, I already get enough of those kind of money burning suggestions in the forum
Maybe cutting the tail pipes off to the muffler and welding on new ones is the only answer?
Would that impact the performance of the exhaust?

What can we do in the way of enhancements to our 530d exhaust tail-pipe tips? I just want some tips that fill out the gap in the diffuser a little better.
Anyone know of some nicer / larger tips that we can slide straight on to the OEM pipes?
Or will I need to get the existing tail-pipe cut off at the muffler and then have some new ones welded on?
Any ideas?

I?ve been thinking the same. Don?t want to change the OEM muffler. Brabus209wamg has nice looking 1 inlet 2 outlet exhaust tips and here are the similar looking ones.
Those would look really good, but I think 3,5" wont fit to OEM muffler and M-bumper since the original tips are 2"
Haven?t found out any solution yet...

I could buy an ACS single tip for 375 Euros (good grief), or the entire 530d, ACS muffler that matches my ACS Diesel Power Upgrade, for a paltry 1300 Euros + installation.
This will have to wait until next spring I am afraid. Just like everything else! Hell, I haven't even bought the LCI E61 tail lights yet. Bruce's v6 cables are just sitting on my office desk.

I PMed john (brabus209wamg) and he has a 545i, so his exhaust is a different size anyway... and he's going to upgrade to quads shortly!

Well, that solves that issue... Bummer.

That said, I was seriously considering trading mine in for a 545i E60
If it wasn't such a hassle importing the damn thing I'd go for it.

I like the idea of the LCI lights, but its quite an expensive mod IMHO. Seeing as I just bought new M5 mirrors, my next mod needs to be a bit cheaper

I may have to drive to northern Norway to have ArneR do the install!

The LCI lights are excellent. But you are correct about the cost: the lights are 650? + 275? for Bruce's v6 cables. That is actually Ok, but then comes the 8 hours of pain doing the install...

Have him fit some quads and a BBK whilst he's at it
